This little recipe is a hot item in our home. The minute I get the oats out the kids start surrounding me asking to help…and waiting anxiously to get to gobble them up. I can’t ever make one batch of these…so consider yourself warned. If you have kids you should probably just go ahead and double or triple this recipe so that you can make sure to have enough left for you too!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 peanut butter or almond butter (I like to split it 1/2 and 1/2)
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate (crushed)
  • 2 T chia seeds
  • 2 T chocolate protein powder
  • coconut and cocoa powder for topping

Instructions

  • Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl. Scoop out 1 T into your palms and roll into balls. Dip into coconut or cocoa. Place on a cookie sheet. Let cool in freezer approx. 1 hour to harden, then transfer to a air tight container. (I leave mine in the fridge for easy access!)
