it’s a mess around here…

Hi everyone,
This update is being written on Tuesday, July 11th, 2017 at 8:30 am. In the past 72 hours my blog has received far more traffic than usual. While it’s been exciting to see the impact some of the posts have had, the result has created a number of technical problems behind the scenes. Many of those far beyond my level of expertise.

My site has crashed numerous times due to the overload of visitors and in my feeble attempts to fix the crashes I have created a slew of many more things gone wrong. This ultimately resulted in the entire site being shut down at 1 am today. Blank white screens on every. single. page. One of my biggest nightmares.

Thankfully after a few panicked phone calls not everything is lost and, thankfully, the bare bones of what I have created is back in tact. But I’m sure you’ll notice a lot of glitches and things out of place.

If you’ve read my most recent post about this week and the purpose of our time to get away I can’t waste this time crying over spilled milk.
I sincerely apologize for the mess of it. My heart aches to see all that is broken and needs fixing…but it’s just going to have to wait.

I truly believe I need to lay this blog, with ALL of it’s imperfections, aside and just let it be. This time away with Matt must be what comes first.

I thank you in advance for your patience and support. And I thank you all for the encouragement, texts, emails, and messages you have sent. I’m so thankful for each one of you and I look forward to getting these troubles fixed again in the future.

Keeping first things first….
with all grace,
Meg

UPDATE July 14th @ midnight: I have a few things figured out now! My site began breaking my hosts server with the added traffic (my site showed just under 100,000 readers today alone!!!) so I have decided to change companies. I have a number of friends helping me out behind the scenes and they are working hard to get it all set up rightly as quickly as they can. Thank you for your patience with extremely slow loading times and a few more crashes. It’ll be all fixed really soon!
