My kids are very close together in age. For many months I had three kids in diapers and I thought the day would never come when I wouldn’t be changing at least a dozen a day. I am now just recently in a new season where there is no longer an infant in the house and ALL of my kids are out of diapers!
Baby products and supplies are not quite what I need anymore…but having five kids doesn’t exactly mean I travel light these days either. Each stage and each season requires a new way of packing up. (Although, I honestly believe I will carry baby wipes with me for forever, ‘cuz they pretty much fix anything.)
I no longer carry pacifiers, but I sure do need a first aide kit with me at all times. With four young boys I’ll leave it to your imagination how often one, two or ALL of them get hurt. I love to carry a small bag of snacks for on the go emergencies, for me and for them. I’ve always got the kids’ and my water bottles with me. I have about 3 pairs of sunglasses, mainly because I forget I already packed them, they break SO often, and at least 2 packs of gum, because they ALL chew gum now too! I have a small bag of meds just in case, sunscreen for when we stop off at the beach, chapstick because I refuse to go anywhere without it, my headphones for when I’m headed toĀ the gym, and of course my wallet.
This bag is perfectĀ for not only any and all life stages but for the quick changes that happen throughout myĀ normalĀ day. The removable insert with all of the kids “stuff” in it can easily be removed as I drop them at the gym, run a quick errand, or leave a few items with a sitter. I am then able to take just the purse with me. The strap converts the bag 3 different ways for convenient carrying…or indecisiveĀ styling…which, in my case, it’s both! š Ā And quite honestly, I just absolutely love that it doesn’t look like a diaper bag.
