LOVISHLY with MEG MARIE
Adorn: verb/action
- make more beautiful or attractive.
- beautify, dress up, embellish, garnish, doll up, fix up
Jesus is not an accessory for us. We don’t get to have full control over our lives and then give Him a head nod.
Our lives are meant to point to His story.
Our lives are meant to make His story more attractive to a lost and dying world that longs for hope.
You’ve probably heard the term used that we are to be ambassadors for Christ…to adorn is that same idea.
“Bondservants are to be submissive to their own masters in everything; they are to be well-pleasing, not argumentative, not pilfering (which means to steal, rob or snatch) but showing all good faith, so that in everything they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior.” Titus 2:9-10.
As we go, as we walk with Him, as we trust and abide in Him, in the everyday parts of life, we have an opportunity to represent Jesus…to point others to Jesus and the hope and the joy that we have in Him.
