My son, after making these cookies, said, “Mom, I think every single family should try these. They’re my favorite ever!”
I’m not sure what holiday traditions you have, but when it comes to dinner menu for Thanksgiving we tend to do things pretty much the same every year around here. Every now and then someone will bring a new dish or two just to try it out, but for the most part we have our favorites and we stick to it.
Except for the desserts…we do have our pecan and pumpkin pies for those who might be disappointed to not have them available…but I am always always always looking for a new festive dessert to try as well. Truth be told I don’t love pies, so in my mind there’s got to be some other kind of option to choose from.
These cookies are perfect for the fall…a little bit of pumpkin, a lot of almond, kid approved and festive too. We’ll definitely be making more for Thanksgiving this year.

Oh! And in case you were wondering…these adorable measuring cups are from Anthropologie…but I found them on clearance about a month ago and now they aren’t on the website anymore. So, I found a few more adorable options I put down below. I think a custom cutting board, some cute measuring cups, maybe a wooden spoon and a favorite dessert recipe would make such a great gift idea for Christmas!
