My son, after making these cookies, said, “Mom, I think every single family should try these. They’re my favorite ever!”
I’m not sure what holiday traditions you have, but when it comes to dinner menu for Thanksgiving we tend to do things pretty much the same every year around here. Every now and then someone will bring a new dish or two just to try it out, but for the most part we have our favorites and we stick to it.
Except for the desserts…we do have our pecan and pumpkin pies for those who might be disappointed to not have them available…but I am always always always looking for a new festive dessert to try as well. Truth be told I don’t love pies, so in my mind there’s got to be some other kind of option to choose from.
These cookies are perfect for the fall…a little bit of pumpkin, a lot of almond, kid approved and festive too. We’ll definitely be making more for Thanksgiving this year.
Also, if you’re looking for a meaningful gift idea, or just a sweet reminder of grace to see each time you’re in your kitchen, a sweet new friend of mine, Christine, started a company called Marking Remarks.
Christine specializes in handmade and engraved art on wood, including items for the kitchen and for the rest of the home too. She loves Jesus and loves creating and even accepts custom orders if you want to come up with a new idea yourself.
Happy Fall everyone! And yay for pumpkin everything! Pin this now and save it for later! (I created a little recipe pic down below for you!) Let me know if you try these cookies for the holidays! I would love to know what you think!
Oh! And in case you were wondering…these adorable measuring cups are from Anthropologie…but I found them on clearance about a month ago and now they aren’t on the website anymore. So, I found a few more adorable options I put down below. I think a custom cutting board, some cute measuring cups, maybe a wooden spoon and a favorite dessert recipe would make such a great gift idea for Christmas!
